Row of Buddha statues in Thailand

Buddha to Infinity

A row of Buddha statues in a temple

Buddha is such a strong force of belief in Thailand.

I learnt so much about this on our trip and the superstitions that Thai’s have about the statues. Unlike here, Thai people believe it is bad luck to have a statue of Buddha that is broken.

This is unusual to me as it seems fashionable to have a Buddha with limbs missing in peoples gardens etc.

I also learnt about the differences in the various poses and what they mean.

Enlightening stuff!
