A year ago my dad received his diagnosis. It’s been an odd year.
I’d never have expected what has happened to happen.
I don’t remember taking this photo from his hospital bed. But I did. And I find it kind of poignant.
If luck is such a thing in these circumstances then I am happy my dad was lucky. Lucky to have decided to try a drug trial over the other options (options others are being denied due to Covid-19).
Dad’s doing really well, far better than we ever imagined and I am so grateful to be able to hear his progress and talk to him daily.
All I want now is for the British Public to stop being so selfish, stop believing bubbles help allow them to break the rules.
I’d love us all to consider everyone else for a change.
Allow everyone to get past the Pandemic so that I and thousands of others can pay their parents a visit.
It’s amazing what a photo can provoke isn’t it.
Update: I am not sure why this came up in the most visited list of posts but it was rather poignant. As you may have seen earlier this year, my dad passed. The treatment gave him many more years that we expected and for that we are grateful.

Well said Keith. What a wonderful world it would be if everyone was more considerate of one another 🙌🏻
Thank you. I hope you’re keeping safe x
