This is a journey into sound

This morning I wake in London as a guest of Enda's following an evening spent with Matt Black from Coldcut at Ditto TV.

It's interesting to wake for work in the city and its also interesting to be thinking about the timeline of music, stories and events presented to us by Matt Black.

At 38 it's quite unusual and enlightening to see someone you heard, followed and danced to give a retrospective of their/your life (mine musically).

Matt played some gems and some lost classics last night from the Ninja Records stable and the history of Electronic music. I was humbled and please to see how much old future music is still relevant. Still played and loved.

Matt played an eclectic mix of music to soundtrack his speech and it reminded me of many artists I'd forgotten of haven't heard for a while, Aphex Twin, Yazz, Grandmaster Flash, Herbie Hancock, Massive Attack and Kraftwerk to name but a few.

It would seem that a new playlist is in order…

Remember Enda convinced me to run the Mo Running 10K which is next week. Please sponsor me! I've got 80% of my target, not far to go now.
