Stage five: Complete

I’ve taken the break I promised myself from my painting and have approached it with fresh eyes.

I nearly went over board again but I managed to rescue my latest attempts to ruin this painting!

I have reached a point now where I am happy. It will never look exactly as I would expect (but then I always disappoint myself with my paintings), but ultimately I am happy.

I hope this captures the moment where the sun breaks over the horizon, through the morning mist.

Anyway this, my latest completed painting is “Sunrise”.
