Persistence X, Bengaluru

Black and white street photograph of men riding in the back of a Mahindra truck in Bengaluru, India

There’s something about being stuck in Bengaluru traffic that turns every moment into a photograph. This shot was taken from the road last April, and what stopped me was that jacket.

Printed across the back in bold lettering: 7-11 PM. Persistence X. Diligence X. Genius. It reads like a personal manifesto worn casually into the working day, completely unaware of the camera behind it.

The Mahindra truck, the Karnataka number plate, the weathered metalwork, the older man on the left holding a steady, unflinching gaze — it all comes together into something that feels very specifically Bengaluru. Busy, layered, quietly compelling.

Shot on my iPhone, converted to black and white to let the textures and faces do the talking.
