“A Quiet Spot”

During a photo walk with the Leica Akademie, we found ourselves in a charming little park in Mayfair, just as the rain had eased and sunlight began to filter through the clouds.

I was initially focused on capturing the leaves that formed a path from my feet across the park when I noticed a man sitting on a nearby bench.

Robin, one of the professional photographers in our group, pointed out that this figure would make a compelling subject, especially with his jacket contrasting beautifully against the red brick of the surrounding buildings.

The interplay of light and shade from the tree added depth and intrigue to the composition.

I can only imagine this man was simply savoring a tranquil afternoon, completely unaware that his moment would be immortalized in a photograph!

I love how the contrasting elements of light and shade between the building and the tree enhance the scene, along with the vibrant hues from the foliage and the brickwork.
