A rose is still a rose

Whilst visiting Hyde Hall at the weekend I enjoyed walking amongst the extensive collection of roses.

The roses are a variety of types and colours and some were very fragarent.

I especially like the traditional pinks and red roses but the yellow and orange varieties were just as striking.

My pro lens gave me the option to zoom in or shoot wide. It’s not quite as fast as my prime lenses but still gives a lovely bokeh. It’s also very crisp and provides lots of detail and sharpness.

It was quite breezy so I had to shoot fast to avoid movement and am pleased with this selection.

I like the colour rendition as well as the roses look natural and not oversaturated (especially as it was a bright sunny day and I shot most of these around mid morning).
