A New York Christmas

Richard and I treated ourselves to a break in NYC for Christmas.

I had a few plans to take some photos but wanted to relax and enjoy the holiday.

As it turned out New York was so busy it was hard at times to get the camera out to take any shots.

Most of the Christmas decorations shots I have, I took whilst out on my own. It was easier for me to battle the crowds alone then constantly looking for one another.

The multi angle screen on my Olympus was super handy and allowed me to shoot at Rockefeller Plaza with the camera over my head to obtain a clear shot.

We had a lovely time in Manhattan and also ventured out to Long Island.

It was a lovely mix of catching up with friends, site seeing and taking it easy.

We also visited the Vivian Maier exhibition which was really interesting.

I only used my Pro lens which did a great job in all conditions.

The manual focus ring was really useful as it helped me captured some Bokeh shots of the lights and traffic.
