Only 17 days left to raise the final £305 – help!

Not a bad run this evening, cool rather than cold and thankfully not as windy as it was on Tuesday. I didn’t need the hat and the gloves today!

I did a 30 minute run tonight and managed to get 6K out of it. I thought I was plodding along at one stage but my pace seemed pretty good all the way through.

Wood Kid’s Run Boy Run didn’t get me as motivated as it normally does. I believe the fastest song of this run was Come On by Prince and the New Power Generation. I cannot be 100% sure though because of some odd GPS anomaly.

I might start to walk/warm up in the opposite direction as iSmoothRun seems to be struggling to find a clear GPS signal when I start out. It’s almost like the problem I had with Nike+ but not as bad (and it hasn’t, to date, crashed once – unlike Nike+). My map just seems a little squiggly at the beginning which is odd as the voice announces GPS is on but it obviously has problems tracking me. It may be the wood at the end of the road or the height of our houses – I am not sure…

Squiggly start

The sponsorship for Alzheimer’s Society is creeping up as is the actual date of my first 10K. The 25th November is not far off now and that means I have 17 days to go to reach my target of £1,500 – Please help me raise my target, it would mean so much to me and to the patients and carers supported by the Alzheimer’s Society.

I have put in so much effort into my running and 6 months in I am still very much enjoying it. I have never felt so healthy or alert and my runs help clear my mind from the day-to-day grind.

10K may not sound a lot to experienced runners but 6 months ago I didn’t run at all. It may not be a marathon but I have put in so much effort to achieve my goal at the end of the month.

I did worry about being able to achieve a 10K target when I started out but I am now confident I can run the whole 10K on the 25th. Please help me by ensuring all my hard work is not in vain and sponsor me for my efforts and to support such a worthwhile cause.

Friends, family, colleagues and complete strangers have been very very generous and I am eternally grateful for the many kind donations received. I would love to reach £1,500 and only have £305 left to go. Can you please please help me reach my target..?
