Black cat 9 lives…

How does the song go…

Black cat, 9 lives,
short days, long nights
Living on the edge
Not afraid to die

Well the neighbours black cat certainly wasn’t afraid of anything tonight especially not the bus!

Finishing my run I was heading back home and could see the bus on the main road and on the hill off it was a neighbours cat sat in the middle of the road cleaning itself. I ran down to the cat and tried everything to shoo it out-of-the-way but it wouldn’t go.

The bus turned the corner and I think he slowed as he saw me out running – thankfully he did as it gave me chance to run across the road, grab the cat and put him somewhere safe! I honestly believe if I hadn’t he would have played chicken with the bus!

The bus driver waved in appreciation but I don’t think the cat was too pleased!

Anyway despite the heat, a different day and a dry cough I got out there and enjoyed a good run – find out how I got on in the video (where I completely forgot to mention the cat!)…

It feels like my pace has slowed but I just checked this coaching route with the first time I ran it and I am running it faster so I am pleased that there is an improvement 🙂

Most motivating song during this run: Janet Jackson Black Cat – obviously!
