They say things come in threes and that seems to have been the case at the end of this week…

Thursday – whilst cooking dinner I put the tap in to fill the sink, popped downstairs, got distracted and had Richard call down from the kitchen as water and bubbles were pouring out over the cupboards on the kitchen floor. Throwing a collection of towels etc on the indoor waterfall soon soaked it up. Lucky Richard walked into the kitchen when he did.
Friday – our usual shopping trip was delivered with one exception: instead of receiving 5 bananas, we received 5 kilos of bananas! Now we like bananas but this is silly! We've had banana smoothies, I've made banana bread and I've given bunches to the neighbours!
Saturday – we have decorated our guest bedroom this weekend and in amongst the painting we had lunch on Saturday… Richard stopped eating to ask where Brandy was, I ran upstairs just as Madame was about to stick her nose in the tray of blue paint!
It has been an odd couple of day!
We've finished decorating the guest room this weekend and it's the most colourful to date. “The Southwold Room” is no a tranquil baby blue room which features nautical paintings purchased and painted by me. We hope our guests will be very comfortable staying there.
That and a 5k run this morning means its been a busy weekend.
