I don't get it, I ran a near identical route to the one I ran on Friday and that came in at 6.02km. Tonight's run ended at 5.16km.
My pace was slower tonight and I think this was fair as I did seem to be spending too much time worry about the pace than anything else. I didn't realise I was going that much slower though 😦
After the coaching ended I had the choice to walk home (I had already completed a five minute cool down walk), but felt so full of energy I decided to run another km at the end of tonight's session. I am not sure if I was buoyed on by Janelle Monae or I was feeling particularly reckless but I managed it and ran home feeling invigorated and happy.

Thanks to Enda, Mark and Shaun for the cheers this evening. That really helped to motivate me as I progressed on my route.
The good news is this was another 25 minute solid run (which all of this weeks are) and I managed to do that plus the extra km at the end. I suppose the next step is to push myself on Wednesday to see if I can maintain a good pace but speed up.
This was also my longest (time on the road) run too. It didn't feel particularly long. Maybe I was enjoying myself too much to realise?
I just wonder how on earth a near similar run can cause me to run such different distances? I must set a reminder on Wednesday to run Nike+ and WalkJogRun together to see how they measure up!
