The Falling Dog

Tonight's run. Check all the awards at the top :)

Tonights run was tough. The amount of running has increased again and the longer runs are much longer. Of course I had to hit the start of one of these runs as I approached the bottom of a hill! As a result it was tough but I covered a lot more distance today although I felt it when the long run was over.

I am immensely proud how far I got and I know I ducked out of one mid run 15 secs early but I feel it’s best to pace myself properly rather than to carry on and cause myself injury.

I managed to pace myself better tonight and got to around a best of 7.06. This is not reflected in my average due to the walks but it’s great to know I can reach that in the runs. I just need to keep going!

It’s amazing to think how much further and faster I have gotten in such a short space of time and I cannot thank the Get Running app team enough for giving me the encouragement and drive to continue.

It didn’t seem particularly warm this evening but I was sweating buckets when I got in. I started to feel how I did when I used to run cross country at school. At least now I know I can stop when I want to and I know I am building up stamina over the sessions.

I broke through my 4k target easily tonight and I am now switching this to a 5k target. Hopefully I’ll hit my goal to run a complete 5k in a couple of weeks. Who knows I may be asking for sponsorship!

… and the falling dog? Well there was a Shitsu on a windowsill giving me grief, it could so carried away he feel off. It did make me chuckle 🙂
