For my birthday Richard gave me a trip to Amsterdam. Due to being in hospital and poor weather back in February we rearranged our plans to this weekend.
We flew out to Amsterdam early Saturday morning and we were in Dam Square by 9:30.
First stop was the Foam photographic museum which had a trio of interesting exhibitions.
We made our way through the flower market before heading along the canals and stopping for lunch.

After a lovely meal we had another wander around before hoping on a canal boat cruise where we enjoyed the lovely sunny conditions, taking in the history and architectural delights of Amsterdam.
A bit of retail therapy was followed by tea and cake watching the world go by.
Astonishingly during our trip around the shops I bumped into a colleague. What are the odds!
I truly had a lovely day, it was such a wonderful treat and I am so lucky.
