In amongst all the chaos of the past couple of weeks one thing has kept me sane in amongst all the work and commutting… My reconnection with 30 Rock!
Sadly we’ve not been able to get the new series here in the UK but Richard bought me the complete 1-4 seasons on DVD for Christmas. After some intense ripping to the Mac these have been transferred to my iPad. I honestly don’t know what I would do without the iPad for such things on the go.
I’ve not really watched the episodes in any particular order but I have thoroughly enjoyed my reconnection with Liz, Tracy, Jack, Kenneth and Jenna. I am sure I have had some funny looks when laughing out loud on the train but I don’t care as 30 Rock has given me the best escape when committing home.
I’ve managed a couple episodes an evening as I am getting a slower later train home and the residents of those on Rockerfeller Plaza have kept me chuckling.
There are so many great episodes and working my way through season 4 has had me laughing at the naked Kenneth edition, Tracy reminiscing about witnessing prostitutes stabbing clowns and Jenna dating her drag queen lookalike. What other show could get away with these exploits?
I just wish the local tv channels in the UK would carry 30 Rock. It is really one of the best thing to come out of America and the combination of Tina Feys writing and the stellar cast make it a real winner.
