I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the well wishes. Everyone has been very kind.
For those who don’t know what I am on about here’s a quick run down of my eventful week…
Continuous pain caused me to go to the doctor…
Saturday – Doctor reckoned I may have a gall bladder infection.
Monday – blood tests and back to the doctor. Doctor admits me to hospital as an emergency with suspected appendicitis.
Lots of tests, prodding, poking and questions throughout the day and several diagnosis floated around.
In total I see 1 GP, 9 nurses, 2 senior house officers, an x-ray technician, 2 registrars and a specialist today!
Tuesday – Inpatient, booked in for Ultrasound and further tests. More prodding and poking. Consultant decides it’s neither my Appendix nor my Gall Bladder.
Discharged and told to rest. Referred for colonoscopy and small intestine/bowl x-ray scan.
Wednesday – Consultant decides it may be colon related but does not want to do invasive colonoscopy in case they cause some inflammation etc. Booked for CT scan.
Pain continues since I left the hospital. I’ve spent the time off feeling very uncomfortable and am worried as to how the pain is affecting other aspects of my system (as there are side effects)
I am still home, I am still uncomfortable and still have many of the symptoms I presented to the doctor last Saturday (and every doctor since), but I have my CT scan booked for tomorrow (Monday).
I just hope they manage to find out exactly what is causing the problems and find a solution to my pain and discomfort.
Thanks to everyone who has written, called, sent cards, tweeted and texted – you are all very kind.
