I hope this blog entry finds you well?
I am not sure how much you may have read this year so I thought I would try to sum the year up in this Christmas message…
It sees very difficult to give a conclusion to this year as I feel that 2010 has only just started. I know this is not a consequence of getting old as everyone I know has complained that this year has flown by.
Richard and I have had a very busy year with work but we have managed to ensure we include enough to keep us occupied and sane.
As well as our regular spring break in Spain we also went during the August Bank Holiday with most of Richards family. This was a fun experience and very hot at an average of 36 degrees!
During the summer Richard and I took a close friend over to Paris for a long weekend – we all managed to experience something new and exciting from that trip – not least because it was Pride weekend in Paris!
We celebrated the fourth anniversary of our Civil Partnership this year and neither of us can believe this has gone by so quickly. We decided to mark the occasion by spending a long weekend in Norfolk, enjoying the wonderful sights of Wells-Next-The-Sea, Sandringham and Ely to name but a few.
Brandy continues to keep us entertained and as she is getting older she is finding more inventive ways to get around the house. She’s also managed to find new ways to keep cosy in the winter.
I have attended several concerts this year (Pet Shop Boys, Kelis (including the excellent Fenech-Soler) and Janelle Monae) plus I also survived an evening at the Royal Albert Hall watching Tangerine Dream with Richard!
I continue to have an avid interest in photography – especially as we invested in a fab new camera this year. The painting I submitted to this years Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy was sadly unsuccessful in gaining a place but I am not giving up! I am busy painting new canvases and will soon decide which I will submit into next years show.
As you know I have picked up the blogging bug again this year and have used this to keep you abreast of developments throughout the year. Coupled with my tweets and updates on Facebook and Flickr I am sure there is more than enough news from me to keep you entertained!
With our work schedule as busy as it is, we are already planning well into 2011. At least it’s good to be busy I guess! Hopefully by Easter 2011 we will have some big news to share… Watch this space…
I have made some great online friends and some of you have made the transition into my “real world” too! There has also been the odd re-introduction and I am thankful to the web (mostly) for being able to make all this possible.
To all of you, whether I know you virtually or in the flesh (ooer), I hope you have had a productive and healthy 2010 and I’d like to wish you all the very best for 2011 and beyond.
Best regards
K x
