Last night I attended the Kelis gig in London and the nights party is still running loud in my ears.
I only went to bed a little over 4 hours ago and am already on the way into work in the snow.
I didn’t know what to expect from Kelis but was pleasantly surprised. The latest album Flesh Tone is very dance orientated and this set the tone for the whole night.
Apart from a minor slip up for Emancipate Yourself the who concert was a non stop dance fest.
The mash of Madonnas Holiday and Milkshake really got the crowd on their feet and we stayed there for the remainder of the night.
Kelis has a phenomenal voice and even with the huge rig she was able to rise about the beats with no effort.
She really gave her all too. I was very surprised she didn’t break the seams of her fishnet catsuit. Mind you it left nothing to the imagination.
Highlights for me were Home, Milkshake/Holiday, Millionaire and of course Acapella which was blinding.
I have to say a big shout out to Paddy, Chelsea and Enda. Boy did we party!
Kelis is now accompanying me on my commute and I hope the vibe will keep me going through this very cold and snowy day.
