In summary (and it’s only 7:20 am)
We had a fab night out
Got back around mid night
Had no where to park
Residential zone parking and had to park 10 mins from the house
Meant we’d have to take car to station as nowhere to move car to this morning and we’d be fined
Took car to station
Machine card reader no working
Used phone service
All SOUNDED fine and confirmed payment (£10!)
Just about to board train text confirmation arrives
Wrong license plate e sited of b
Had to go back to car
No indication of how to change booking
Worried we’d be fined as different car on the system
Had to go back into St Albans to get cash
Tickets machine wouldn’t take notes
Had to go back to buy polos
Paid for extra ticket
Went back to car
Subsequently missed several trains
Now late
Ticket system is email contact only
Trying to get refund
No clear options on site
Finally managed to find a text box to enter complaint and request refund
Now have to wait to get my tenner back
Over tired
Over worked
Stressed
Late!
