The weather was very hot and Farnborough was very busy but we got to see a great deal of fly pasts as well as the static displays. We didn’t see the Boeing Dreamliner (many have asked) as Boeing were wankers again and decided to fly the plane out of Farnborough before the public days. I don’t know why they bother showing up sometimes.
The star of the show was again the A380 which did another display which guaranteed gasps and applause from the crowd (especially as people are still amazed at how big, quiet and agile the plane is).
I enjoyed snapping lots of shots and shooting HD video with my Olympus PEN – the quality and which I am very impressed. The camera is also very quick, enabling me to get instant shots at the press of the button.

I may not have the biggest lens (yes Farnborough is a place for men to show off the biggest lens it seem), but I am very happy with my photos. Hopefully by the time this is published most of the videos will be online!
Our journey back into London was far less painful than the journey out and we managed to meet up with our friends at Halfway to Heaven bang on time.
We spent the evening in a new branch of Cafe Rouge which has opened just up from Leicester Square. I know it’s a chain and probably not the best example of restaurants in London but I have never had a bad meal/experience at a Cafe Rouge.
Last night was no exception – we all had three courses, wine, cider etc and we all cleared our plates and left the restaurant very happy, content and full. The staff were very attentive too.
We met to wish Paul and Peter a Happy Birthday for Monday and we had an absolute riot. It seemed we were on all on form last night and I am sure everyone was insulted at some point – of course all in good humour!
The evening went far too quickly and it seems apparent that we are all missing Carnival so will no doubt ended up in Sitges come the beginning of the New Year.
Richard and I covered a lot yesterday and got back quite late… Today therefore has been a very quiet, relaxing day. We’ve pottered around the house and managed to do some shopping too (I have finally bit the bullet and treated myself to a pair of Toms).

I know I have not made any comment about the Pet Shop Boys concert I attend on Monday in Brighton (excellent as ever) but I have simply been far too busy to put anything online until now. Sophie Ellis Bextor was probably the best support act I have seen as she really got the crowd going and was very good live. PSB were fantastic as ever and as Lisa and Rene noted I knew the concert word for word. It had a shit start to the week and this really helped lift my mood. Sadly it seems like it was weeks ago! Pandemonium is a fantastic show and I recommend every to go whilst it’s still touring.
I also wanted to write about Janelle Manoe who is taking up nearly all of the play time on my iPhone etc. ArchAndroid is one of the best albums I have heard in years. I really cannot praise it enough. She is a true talent (and I wish Richard would give the album a chance!) 😉 I know ArchAndroid has only just been released but I cannot wait to find out how the suite ends…
Yes it’s been a busy week!
I have to say a big thank you too all of you who continuously comment on Trunk Guy Candy – who knew my favourite selection of Eye Candy would prove so popular!
