London – Eating & Drinking – Cafes & Coffee Shops
I found this little patisserie and coffee shop by accident.
There are quite a few in Duke of York’s Square but this one is friendly and unimposing.
Entered from both sides you get the choice of which side of the square to sit.
The selection of breads and pastries are fantastic.
I have a pan au chocolate and cappuccino and can honestly say I have not enjoyed a coffee and pastry as much anywhere else in London.
The pastry was home made and the coffee was fresh and flavourful.
The waitress did fill my coffee cup too much and spilt it upon placing on the table but this was not a problem. I didn’t (and wouldn’t have) complain but without hesitation the waitress took the coffee and made me a fresh cup.
It’s about the usual price for a coffee house in the Kings Road but more than worth it – I cannot fault it.
